Sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and utility trenching for a multi-unit commercial site, installed to civil drawings and municipal inspection hold-points.
Site Overview
Scope:
We installed sanitary sewer and storm lines, set manholes and catch basins, and trenched for the site utilities that feed a multi-unit commercial building. Every run was laid to the slopes and invert elevations on the civil set, then inspected before backfill.
Why it mattered:
Underground work is expensive to reopen. The lines had to pass inspection the first time and sit deep enough that later paving and landscaping would not crush or shift them.

The Challenge
Site conditions:
The storm run crossed an existing gas main, and the sanitary service had to pick up a tight invert at the municipal tie-in. Trench depth also meant shoring, not just an open cut.
The Approach
How we handled it:
Locates were marked and the gas crossing was exposed with hydro excavation before the sewer trench opened. Pipe was bedded on gravel, joints checked, and each manhole left accessible for the inspector. Backfill and compaction followed only after the hold-point cleared.
